I hace read much here about the 22/44. Why can't you use a 10/20 and thin one after another to same thickness and then join backs and tops? AM I missing something? |

you can. but joining the tops at final thickness is a lot harder -- you have to get the edges to line up perfectly. And. if you are flexing your top to feel for final thickness (rathering than measuring for a specfic target thickness) I am not sure doing one side at a time will give you an idea of how flexible the glued up plate will be. |
