I have a big problem and an unusual request!!!
Sometime ago I purchased a Martin shell, OOO.
I thought it was for a 12 fret neck design. Wrong.
It's body is too short for a 12 fret neck. I was going to purchase a Stewmac 1 7/8" neck width, which is what I prefer, but it only is available as a 12 fret. Their other neck offered is a 14 fret neck with a 1 3/4" width.
What are my options?:
1. Find someone to make a 1 7/8" 14 fret neck?
2. Can I use a 12 fret neck(1 7/8") from stewmac and lower the Bridge to get the correct set up?
Is that possible??
I'm stuck.
I would prefer to have a 12 fret neck but not sure how to get there.
Can you guys help me make this choice??
