Good day from postman(to be pc person) The John Mayes and the Robbie O'brien video's came. So far I have watched the 1st neck video by John. Very good. Only thing better is getting to hang out with him in his shop and do. I know from experience. If go by this video and I bet Robbie's, and use one, or other or even combo of both until come up with own method you could with never making a neck do one and do it well. Step by step and quality has improved in sound. Schools as I know are great. But if can't take the time or money for school and want to build, and learn well and right, use these video's and build. That good!!!! Thanks both of you guys
Stan

I haven't received John's DVD yet but Robbie's was in the mail when I got home late on Saturday night. I put it in and watched it until I fell asleep (because it was after midnight, not because of the DVD!) I dreamt about building guitars all night.

This is a great DVD. I was a little skeptical about the still picture format, but it works very well. There is lots of great stuff on it. Good job, Robbie!

Thanks Stan and Scott for those reviews. We are anxiously awaiting positive reviews of builders. Don't know if you know it, but I was involved in the Steel String DVD. I was the one taking the pictures of the process, and I also did the music. Glad you liked it! Frank Ford as agreed to carry this DVD in his store at Gryphon Instruments, so if anyone lives by his store in CA, you can get it there!
