Incredible finish. I am going to have to seriously consider farming out finishing to the real experts.

Lance, that's really first rate. I know you're proud--at least you should be!

By the way, I like your new bridgeless design. That really simplifies things, doesn't it?

B-uuuuuuuuu-ty-full. Doing justice to that set of CB was no small task. I know I would be intimidated. You pulled it off no problemo, I love it, and as others have said great finish.

Really nice guitar Lance.

After having just finished my first with FP (a less than perfect result), I was thinking about finding someone else to do the finish in future, what a pity you guys are on a different continent. I'll just have to buy a compressor and spray gear instead. I was a profesional spray painter in another life, many moons ago. I wonder if I still have those skills...

I can't help but notice that your pictures are always much better than anything I can produce with my little 1.3 megapixel camera, What camera are you using, and what are it's specs?

Very nice Lance, the guitar looks beautiful. What kind of finish is it, it sure looks like lacquer so I assume it is. What sort of prep work did you do? Did you sand, fill pores etc. Again, it looks fantastic.

No Strings either...so you don't need frets. Probably don't need fingers...IT PLAYS ITSELF!!! Now that is innovation...LAnce it realy does look great. IS the finish thick? Is it Nitro? Please give some details.

I was just checking out that top again. That is some beautiful redwood. I'm doing one of my jumbo parlors now with some of the TA redwood I got from Hank and some Cocbolo from Mr C. It looks pretty nice too. I sure hope mine shines like yours.

Wow, that is gorgeous! I had to put my sunglasses on just to look at it. Great guitar and finish. I'm seriously thinking about having my last guitar refinished professionally. I didn't like the way it turned out. How much does this charge?

Beautiful stuff. Does Tony finish with the neck off or on? Looks like he did it off.

It looks great. Is it waterbase urethane or the two part finish that auto finishers use or some other type?

Author:  John Mayes [ Sun Apr 17, 2005 8:24 am ]
Post subject:

it is 2 part urethane.
