Nice work Ronn. I really like the transition, body to heel. Where did you get that spruce? Really good looking stuff. So tell us how it sounds I hope as good as it looks.

I'm with Keith: where did you get that spruce?
Really pretty. And the Palo Escrito is quite a bit darker than other pieces / sets I've seen. It looks more like Honduran (rosewood) to me.
Very enterprising work!

So what's the plan for #4?

Nice work Ronn. I really like the way you used flames in the headstock and bridge design. If this was #3, I can't wait to see #4.

Thnx for the kudos guys. The spruce was one of three I bought on ebay from a guy ??? in Canada. Believe me the photos do it NO justice. It's REALLY REALLY purty! Still have two tops hidden away for something special. I'm still making a lot of little mistakes along the way but each one is an improvement on the one before it.

Number 4 is going to a heavy metal headbanger kid (19) I know. It's going to be very basic Sitka, bubinga dred with a flamed maple neck and trim.

Hopefully by 5 or 6 I can start selling them at least to recover costs and build the next.

Again thanx for the compliments. It helps get over the post build depression and gets me started thinking of #4

Ronn, I like it! It is a refreshing departure from "the norm".

Was it pretty difficult to do the inlay on that spruce top? I've heard it is quite a bit harder on the lighter woods. Not that I've been brave enough to try it.....
