Just got back from the Annual Handmade Musical Instrument Exhibit in Portland ,OR   Jeff Elliot, Cindy Burton, Charles    Fox and Mike Doolin were among the exhibitors. Good show. Worth the 8 hours round trip.

Hey Jeff Doty- Was that you standing next to me when Charles Fox was talking to Chris Klumper from Luthiers Tool Company? That was a very interesting conversation to ease drop on. If they manage to get together, thay could come up with some very interesting tools and jigs.

Speaking of Luthiers Tool company, I walked out of there with his new slotted head stock jig.

Here is his website . I've been eyeing the one at LMI but this one is double sided, self centering and the slot templates and drill bushings can be swithed out between steel string, classical or custom made. I had a nice visit with Chris and his wife Glenda. Nice people and Chris seems very open for suggestions.

Scott,

It was indeed! Wish I had known it was you, I would have talked your ear off for a while. That was a great conversation. CF asked all the questions I didn't think to ask, so I was happy to listen in. Chris is a great guy. I like the jigs he is making. I bought the routing jig, we will see how it works, but I am thinking it will be a dandy.

Jeff,

I meant to say hey when they were done talking, but got sidetracked and didn't see you again.
