Woodcraft has this system on 10% off sale for the first time I have seen. The basic system is still pricey at $360. Is it worth the money? Any opinions and experience with the tool would be appreciated! Thanks, Tom |

Tom, I have a Tormek and the only attachment I have for it is the one that comes with it to sharpen chisels. It works just fine for sharpening chisels. It is easy to use, gets a pretty good edge and won't overheat your chisels. I don't know anything about the other attachments though. You might want to watch for one of Woodcraft's demos if you need to know about the other stuff. |

Yes it is worth it unless you are really good with stones. I sold mine, and when get back into my own shop, I will get another one. Takes only a small amount of time to keep chisels, planer/jointer blades very sharp. Other neat jigs for other uses if wanted |

To me it was one of the best purchases I made. I was really really slow on the scary sharp method. Prices have gone way up since I got mine. I got the complete package for about $600. I see now it's over $800. Then I bought the jointer/planer blade jig which paid for itself about the second time I used it. Once you get the hang of the machine and setting the angle, it's very quick to tune up your sharps. I did all my chisels in about 10 minutes this weekend. |
