In exchange for a spot in Masa’s teaching calendar, I recently agreed to create and maintain a new website for Masakazu Ito, an instructor at Denver University and alumni of Ricardo Iznaola’s Master’s program. I would appreciate any ideas/comments/feedback you may have regarding the website, as it evolves throughout the construction process. It’s very rough presently; I’m just trying to establish a basic layout, font/color selection, menu design, etc. An overall theme has been established that emphasizes Masa’s Japanese heritage and his dedication to classical guitar. ![]() www.masakazuito.com |

Looks like it is going to be a nice site. Whenever I click on anything I get a runtime error refering to line 128 this.style is null (or something like that). This may just be because you are still in the design phase, just wanted to let you know. |

I had the menu layer library running-- without any menu content-- which causes that null exception. Now, after I settle on a menu strategy and eventually deploy the code . . . I will forget to comment that layering library back in, causing another bug... Same as it ever was... |

It's got a smooth feel and professional look. Great start! I'd suggest using the Tekton menu, the Trajan font for headers, and Heisei Mincho for text. I think they'd blend well together and keep the eye interested, while conveying a sense of style and solidity. Colors, of course, would have to fit the background. Carlton |

Carlton[/QUOTE] Thanks for your comments. I don't know just how austere Masa Ito wants his website. I've basically thrown together a menu for him to choose from, and to generate more direction and ideas from him. I don't know how far he wants to push his Japanese heridity, for example. I want the site to reflect him and his personality/philosophy, not mine... |
