Did anyone hear this segment on National Public Radio's Weekend Edition. I don't normally listen on Sunday morning, but I got an early start to the lake this morning and caught the last 15 minutes. It was interesting. The most interesting part was hearing Rick Davis named as the luthier who built commentator Tim Brookes' new guitar. I think it would be a slight understatement to say that Mr. Brookes is very happy with his new guitar. Good for you Rick. If you missed the broadcast, you can hear it here: The Story of GuitarNeil38501.9622106481

Well deserved.

Story was well done and Tim seemed thrilled with the entire process. Very fun for me to hear.

Tapping mango (I have some too) is like tapping cardboard, eh?

Congratulations, Rick! Now don't let fame and fortune go to your head. Actually, I think it is OK to let fortune go to your head.

I'm trying to figure out how to let fame go to my wallet. No success yet
but continuing to work on it.

Now we all know the secret to lutherie success: Forget the professional
players, go for the professional writers.
