Just wondering what you prefer and why. I recently bought a box of Fire Wires in 80/20 and although I haven't used them for any length of time, they seem quite nice. I got a pretty fair deal on them direct from the manufacturer.John How38506.5890162037

No difference in tone to my ears but I believe PB hold their tone longer.

Prefer the tone, although I don't have a lot of experience with 80/20 bronze..

I prefer the tone of the Phospher bronze, seem to have a richer tone to my ear. Judging the tone of 80/20 strings baserd on Firewire strings isn't very fair though. There 80/20 sound better than any others I've ever heard (better than many phosper bronze) but I still prefer the Firewire Phospher bronze strings over their 80/20 strings. Considering they are the same price I'll stick with the Phospher bronze

I posted a Firewire string poll on the APM a few days ago. I don't have any direct experience with them but they seem to be "just another string". I was hoping to see an overwhelming positive response from the folks who have used them but it wasn't the case. I actually got more suggestions to try Newtone Masterclass strings. Who are some wholesalers for these strings?

to me 80/20 strings sound a bit duller, but warmer, I prefer the richer
more vibrant sound of the PB. Heck I really like Nanoweb's and lots of
people hate em. Just preference...

I have used both Nutone Master Class strings and Firewire strings and would put the two on par but both are better than anyother strings I have used. I have gone with fire wire both because they ate cheaper and last longer and also because they are Canadian Made so for me as a Canadian they are more convienet. When I say they last longer I mean they keep that new string sound. But nutone strings are another great sounding string to. What is APM?
