When mixing a 2-part epoxy, what happens if you don't put enough hardener in? Will the result be a slower curing epoxy (ie, more work time), will the epoxy just not harden properly at all, or will it be weaker? Any idea? Thanks! John |

John[/QUOTE] Softer and weaker tensile and sheer strength. Put to much and it is more brittel |

Depending on how short you were on the hardener the epoxy will cure but a bit softer. if you were more than 20% short the epoxy may not cure to a hard film but rather be a jell. firm to the touch but some what plyable. More than 30% short it may not cure. It is better to thin by means of a solvent that will gas off to thin and extend pot life. |
