When mixing a 2-part epoxy, what happens if you don't put enough hardener in? Will the result be a slower curing epoxy (ie, more work time), will the epoxy just not harden properly at all, or will it be weaker? Any idea?

Thanks!

Softer and weaker tensile and sheer strength. Put to much and it is more brittelMichaelP38506.5474189815

Depending on how short you were on the hardener the epoxy will cure but a bit softer. if you were more than 20% short the epoxy may not cure to a hard film but rather be a jell. firm to the touch but some what plyable. More than 30% short it may not cure. It is better to thin by means of a solvent that will gas off to thin and extend pot life.MichaelP38506.5559606481
