What are you doing, striking the other end of that chisel with a mallet?

Michael,

Very classy looking label. What kind of paper are you printing it on? Oh, and what glue do you use? Just curious.

8# rice paper is what I have been using but I think I may have to change to a parchment due to the large amount of color ink. Adhesive has been shellac but I have not tested yet with the color ink. In the past I have sprayed the front with a very light coat of shellac, allowed it to dry 24 hrs, then sprayed the back of the label and attached it to the guitar. I hope to do the same but have to test first. If I have run problems I will use 3m spray fixitive to lock the image and attach with 3m spray adhesive.MichaelP38506.6449305556

Really nice label! But I'd leave off the "Signature:__________". It's superfluous. Your signature speaks for itself and doesn't need to be announced.

How did you do the abalone pearl logo in the middle?

Very Nice, Much nicer than mine. I also wonder how you did the logo in the centre but have to admit that that is the only thing I don't really like on it. I like the more subtle asprect of the rest of the label. As far as sticking it in I have had great success using Hide glue to glue them in and then painting hide glue over top to seal them. Works for me.

The whole label is a 3d rendered object with materials defined and attached. The base of the label uses a label just as I did for Lance as it's material. The logo is made of four 3d objects. One with MOP as the material and three with Paua as the material. The material is like a skin that is mapped from a photo of the specified material then assigned to a 3d object. Then an image is rendered and converted to a graphic format to give me the printable out-put
