Anyone know of a collet adapter for using a 3/16" shank end mill in either a 1/4" or 1/2" collet? |

Dave, I once went on a hunt for something similar and came up empty. I think it was a safety issue about a collet holding in essence another Collet. I guess you can't find the right collet...It may be easier to find the right/new bit with a shank that will work with what you are using. I know Dremel makes about four or five different size collets for there machine. |

there are all sorts of collet adapters out there, e.g. 1/4 to 1/8, 1/2 to metric, but i've never seen one to 3/16. |

Jimmy, U DA MAN! They indeed have an adapter for a 3/16" shank bit. As for the question about the adapters, we're using really small router bits, cutting softwood. The bit practically doesn't even see the wood. Thanks for your help, everyone! |
