So I talked to the guy at euphonon string co. and asked him if he has any sort of a deal for builders. (Many companies do, just ask) He said that if I purchased 72 sets the price would drop to $1.53 per set plus shipping. Anyone interested in a group purchase on this? Let me know. Paul |

I am really not familiar with these strings but the price sounds right. How do they compare to other strings. |

I'm not familiar with these either, but at that price I'll be in for 10 sets. Can gauges be mixed? I'd like 5 each medium and light gauge. If not, light is fine. --Mark |

guys i won't be joining the group buy because i just took delivery of 72 sets of lights and a bunch of other strings just the other day. as i have posted on several instances euphonon's strings are all i have used for the past 7 or 8 years. i'm happy and the customers are happy, what more can i say. he also has the best prices i've seen on fret files, outstanding unbleached bone (i don't use the bleached stuff) at excellent prices, not to mention tuners, and is very pleasant to deal with. |

Hey guys, when I posted this I was just sort of "feeling the idea out" to see if it would be worth pursuing. Sounds like it is. So on Monday I'll call him and get specifics as to whether we can mix and match guages or if we have to buy 72 sets of each. (at this price I'm ok doing it either way) I've never personally played the strings. But I've heard nothing but good comments about them. And I'm desprately seaking something to replace Elixer. In the last batch of ten sets, I had 5 bad strings and two broke very prematurely. So I'm done with them. Oh, I didn't mention that the price quoted was for P/B strings. I don't know the price for 80/20 strings (though I would think it would be a pennie or two cheaper) and again, I'm not sure if we could mix them up or not. I'll check and get back to you all. Thanks Paul |

Some of you guys may be interested in getting a catalog from Euphonon Co. It’s one Luthier, Walter Lipton, he sells materials for luthiers at good prices. I have ordered the materials for several guitars from him. Always good stuff. If any body wants contact info just say. |

How good are these strings. Would you put them on your personal guitar. What existing strings do they compare to. |

Ok, I just taked to Walter and here's the scoop. The bulk price is for 72 sets of ONE KIND OF STRING. For example, phospher bronze mediums are one kind. P/B Lights are another. So, I need to know exactly what you guys want to see if we have enough to make one order of lights and one order of mediums. Also for the guys that wanted me to see about individual strings, if you order 72 of one string, there is a discount as well. If we don't have enough for two bulk orders, we can order 72 of one and still get a good buy on dozens of the other. Not as good as the bulk order but still cheaper than anywhere I've seen. So pleas chime in and let me know what you need. Thanks P BTW: I'm leaving town on Thursday and will be gone until July 4 so I'd like to get this taken care of before Wed if possible. Thanks P |
