Achtung OLFers!
I've got some exceptionally old, air dried African mahogany guitar sets (steel string) that's taking up too much room in my shop. These sets are a light burgundy with straight even grain and a great tap tone. The boards from which I cut these sets were from the late 50's and early 60's and they are premium.
Normally the price per set is $50 but I want to move some inventory to make room for other materials I'm getting so......... the price per set for OLFers is $33.50 or 10 sets for $300.
You might think big deal, African mahogany I can get that anywhere. That may be the case but is the wood 50 years old and air dried?

It looks a lot like Khya and not Sapele? Do you know which it is? Is it pretty light weight or heavy and dense?

Tim,
It is Khaya and not Entandrophragma cyclindricum (Sapele).
Sapele has more inform striping. It is darker than African mahogany an has a course texture. If ever in doubt, use the scratch and sniff method. Sapele will have a cedar like smell.
The African sets I have are dark and dense.
