Pretty cool,

Just one quick observation though:

Some (better) guitars get a lot of sound from the back, and the back actually vibrating. The back isn't just a reflector (ok except ovations)

So resting the guitar on rubber isolation pads may not produce the guitars desired sound.

Nonetheless this is a really neat project and crosses many of my interest areas, software/electonics/control systems/mechincal and of course guitar and music.

By the way, what is MGL?
