Hi Mark,

I'm a newbie here. I recently worked with Robert Sayers on a redwood/EIR
OM with dred depth. This fall we're going to build another redwood top
Grand Auditorium with claro walnut back & sides.

I had a chance to check out some of your work not too long ago.
I believe the fella's last name was Wilson. Fred maybe?

Anyways, just wanted to say hellouncleshish38833.9594444444

Chris,

Welcome to the MGL! Hey, everybody, Chris is a fine singer/songwriter who I got to hear for the first time recently. Definitely check him out if you get the chance!

Chris, we spoke a bit after your last show at the Bayside Beanery in Muskegon, discussing, of course, your Sayers guitar. It's a really nicely built instrument (with a striking curly redwood top). Can you tell us a bit more about this Michigan luthier? How about getting him to join us here, and at the OLF?

BTW, Chris, you too, should feel welcome at the main forum. A lot of the folks there started out as players (some quite accomplished!), and got hit by the lutherie virus too, so you'll fit right in.

Hello Chris, I'm glad you made it over here! Now don't go away. I hope we all get to meet you soon.

Carlton, Robert is quite reclusive. He hardly has a phone, much less internet access! He lives so far out in the sticks that the sun sets between his place and town. But he's a cool guy who makes nice guitars. Mark Swanson38834.4740277778

Ha! I wondered about that. He is hip enough to have built a guitar with some nice curly redwood, though...unless he got it from you, and still isn't aware that it's all the rage (folks, Mark has a couple of curly redwood projects in progress that are gonna be mighty pretty!)!
