Hi,

A few weeks ago I was getting together a tool & supplies order from Grizzly and out of curiosity decided to order some BWB purfling and ebony bridge pins. I'd never ordered wood parts from them before & wasn't expecting much but I was very pleasantly surprised when the order arrived.

The bridge pins are very nice. I ordered the ebony ones with a brass & pearl "eye" on the top of each. These are very well made, very cool looking & will dress up the bridge of any guitar - especially if you have gold tuners. They're 3 degree taper, by the way. Try 'em I bet you'll really like the look: http://www.grizzly.com/catalog/2005/main/317.cfm?

The 20/20/20 BWB purfling is also very nice - the white stripe is not the BRIGHT white variety but rather the warmer & softer looking maple color. Cheap too at $ 1.25 each for ordering 5 or more. They're exactly like LMI's but a much better deal.

I'm not suggesting that all of Grizzly's wood parts are great but these two items truly are. I'm not affiliated, etc. Just thought some of you folks might like to know about these.

Your friend & associate in wood butchery,

I guess it's not too surprising--the president of Grizzly IS a luthier, and apparently a pretty prolific one, considering what must be the demands of his day job. It would be cool if he'd join our little frayed-collar group for some discussion.
