Here in Fresno California it's currently 106 degrees. It's so hot that my airconditioner can't keep up with the heat in my shop. Anyone live in the High Desert of California? I'll be relocating there in about a year. |

Geez Paul I go out with just a T-Shirt when it's 60 deg f. here in Buffalo. Lately it's been in the 90's and humid. Thunder, rain and hail yesterday afternoon. |

Well here in my part of Canada we have had temps in the 90s (or mid 30s C for us Canadians). The humidity has been super high and It hasn't rained for almost a month. Everyones lawn here is dead. Most of the grass is brown instead of green. And the farmers are having a terible time with their crops. I'm having a hard time keeping the temp down in the shop, even with the AC. I hope it rains soon. Josh |

It's been in the mid 90's here in sunny Oklahoma for a month or two now. Normally that doesn't present a problem, but I don't have AC in my shop and the temp in that metal building gets up to about 107 or so. I am getting the problem fixed though. We are having a new house built and along with it I am getting a fully finished, fully insulated and heat/cooled shop. Of course it won't be finished til December or so.... |

Man, it has been just terrible here in good ol' Oregon, 75-80. And with the 40% humidity, it seems more like 76-81!! But, we just suffer in silence.

I'll be relocating there in about a year.[/QUOTE] Yeah, but it's a dry heat. :) I lived in Bakersfield for almost 10 years, and I used to make it out to Mojave on a regular basis. Honestly, there's not a whole lot of difference in terms of high temps but it does cool off pretty well at night up in the High Desert, unlike CA's Central Valley. I just checked weather.com for Mojave. 103F current temp, 15% RH, and tonight's low is supposed to be 76F. Not bad. I'll bet it doesn't get below 90F tonight in Fresno. Yuck. Best, Michael |

It's been rainy and cold here for weeks and it's July.. it is a weird year though.. I'm in a t-shirt until it drops below 5. Once the snow starts flyin the mom makes me wear my coat at work =) The weather here has actually been really dissapointing.. rainy overcast and cold for weeks, yesterday it was like 25 and I thought "yay here comes summer!" so I spent the day milling without a shirt.. Today the rain was back.. Know whats more uncomfortable than wet cloths? Wet cloths covering a sunburn! BAH! |

It's nasty humid here....you can see the vapor hanging in the air. And it's hot, but not real hot. If it gets much hotter, we're in trouble. |

Hi Ed, James is a young guy, who just graduated from Fresno State, I believe. I think. He builds guitars as a hobby, among other things. He ventured into making wood drum hoops and rims a little while back, and made some nice stuff. Now he's going to work for a web design company out there somewhere. |

95 degrees, 90% humidity with a heat index of 115 degrees--like walking around in a big sauna. |

Houston tends to be hot and humid during the summer. Up until about a week ago, we were having a hot dry spell, though -- high 90s, low 100s, and RH down in the 20s. Not bad, really. Then we started getting some rain. Lots of it. At first, it just made everything unbearably hot and sticky, but now that we've been getting multiple drenchings every day, it's cooled down a lot. Highs in the low 80s now. Humidity's risen, obviously, but I have a dehumidifier and a small A/C unit out in the shop, so I can keep the RH down in the 40s out there. Could be a lot worse.
