I would like to check out the possibility of using Lyptus for backs, sides, necks. Do any of you suppliers have Lyptus available??

I've got a local guy that has about 5,000 board feet of the stuff. If you can't find any I'd be willing to resaw some for you. Just let me know.

Okay, youz guys that have actually handled Lyptus--what's it like, and what do you think about its usfullness for guitars? Necks? Endblocks? Linings? Backs & sides? Is it light or heavy? Porous? Does it go "ping" or "thud" when tapped? Information, information!!!
