Hi Do any of you use 28 vs 25 tops? If so, do you do this so that the neck angle is more appropriate for the bridge position, or is it just a personal preference. Andy |

Andy, I've used 25 on my first 2, but I will be using 28 on my next build. The main reason for me is to just try something with less arc to see if it gives me a little more bass. But the difference in 28 and 25 is probably less than 1/64", so it is probably not going to make a huge difference. Also, routing the binding channels will be a little easier since my laminate trimmer will not have much of angle on it to handle the radius. Hope that helps. Tracy |

I use 25' because it matched the nick angle to keep my fret boad straight. Works for me. Uswed 30' on my first guitar which created a slight drop in the fret board where it met the body. Richard |
