I'm finishing up on a guitar-I need some (2mm?)gold or brass tubing used for side of fretboard (dot) position markers.

Does anyone have one they'll part with? TIA!Terry Stowell38570.4705439815

Terry - I found stainless and brass tube stock at my local Menards (Big box store) you may want to check your local places.

Terry, I found some gold and brass ones at a jewlery supply store here in town. Depending on how many you need, I could probably spare some if you can't find them elsewhere.

The hardware store is a great source of this stuff. If it is under finish you shouldn't have much in the way of oxidation problems. My hardware store sells brass, copper and aluminum tubing in sizes down to 1/32".

For the fingerboard I suppose that you might have more oxidation worries, but nothing a piece of steel wool shouldn't be able to fix up in a jiff...

If you only want Gold, Platinum etc. check out Rio Grande. They have that in a variety of sizes. As I recall gold is about $50 for a 6" piece. Expensive for sure, but not prohibitively so.

I have found brass, copper and aluminum at my local hobby lobby store. It's back in the section where the model airplanes and stuff are located.
