Well I am about to bite the bullet and buy an HVLP. I have read about many. Seems to come down to basically two in my unaffordable range...Fuji q4 PRO AND the Turbonaire 1235. Fuji q4 is supposed to be supper quite and comes with a no bleed gun. Turbonaire is adjustable speed. Which do you guys prefer. I realy appreciate any/all comments.

I had a Fuji Q3. Loved it. The speed may not be adjustable, but the
airflow is..right on the end of the hose by the gun, which in essence gets
you the same thing. It was quiet, sprayed awesome, and never had a
problem with it.

The current sale flyer from Woodcraft has the Turbinaire on sale at a pretty good discount. I went with an Accuspray earlier this year.

I have not found anyone who doesn't like any of these. The few reviews I found in the woodworking magazines gave them all top ratings. I don't think you would be disappointed in either the Turbinaire or the Fuji.

The only feature of the Turbinaire I did not like is that the gun that comes with it is a bleeder.

I have the Fuji Q4 I bought preowned but unused. I love it. It has been a great setup so far.

Dave I have a Turbinaire 1235 and like it a lot. It does come with a bleeder gun which I haven't found to be a problem.   The feature I really like with mine is air flow control you have on the unit. When I purchased mine the selection process was down to the Fuji vs. Turbinaire. I bought mine used from a cabinet maker and haven't any reliability problems.

One consideration is that the Turbinaire gun is aluminum which is not recommended for spraying water based laquers. I have sprayed water based with mine after consulting with the manufacturer who advised its not a problem if you clean the gun thoroughly after each use (which you would do in any event). Thanks so Much for your responses! I think I am going to go with the Fuji Q4 since it's quieter and has the non-bleeder gun as standard. Now to find the best deal...seems like everyone has the same price! Anyone recommend a dealer?
