by means of necessity I was forced to fill a 1/64"-1/32" wide by 1 1/2" long void in some med dark EIRW binding, Don’t ask why Anyway the most convenient way seemed to be packed dust. but due to the location it was nearly impossible to pack in a white glue and dust paste to fully fill the void with out causing some major clean up issues. so I played around with several end grain dusts to find a good match using CA to flood the dust. After several test with finish applied it turns out that Black Acacia end grain dust worked like a charm, after finish is applied it is a perfect match even after some shaping sanding

sorry for no pic. It seems Diane is not sure what she has done with the camera. Oh well I wanted to upgrade to a 5MP anyway

We'll use our imaginations. Thanks for the creative fix and sharing it. Luthiering sometimes is just correcting one thing after another, until you're done.
