OK Folks - I'm pretty excited about this! Please read below for the official Announcement.

Greetings. As some of you know, I have for some time now, been contemplating the future of the OLF. Time and time again you, the members of this forum have stepped up, chipped in, and helped to make this the greatest luthier community on the Internet. I sincerely, and deeply appreciate this. The OLF is very close to my heart and you have all helped in immeasurable ways.

Now, as our community grows by nearly 10% per month, I think we have an opportunity to take another giant step forward. In the coming months I will be working to revamp our sponsorships, add new tools to the forum, and continue to find ways to bring value to the community.

For instance, just one of the ideas we are exploring is adding a bi-annual (or quarterly) chat session with the membership and a very high profile luthier – you know, the heroes, innovators, and shapers of our industry. And, this is just the tip of the iceberg; there are about two-dozen other ideas that I would love to get to if time and finances permit.

However, as I alluded to, these things cost money, and I have been putting my head down and thinking of ways to give back to you, as well as help the forum… and I have a plan I think you will be excited about.

Starting today, we are offering a 100% voluntary OLF sponsorship. Again, I said 100% voluntary.

That said, this is such a cool offer, I cant see anyone not taking advantage of it!

I have negotiated a very valuable sponsorship package that I am now ready to introduce:

For a $95.00 annual OLF membership we are offering:

•     Inner peace and bliss in the knowledge that you are helping make the OLF an even better luthier community.
•     A FREE membership to ASIA.
o     For new ASIA members this membership includes the rest of 2005 and all of 2006
o     For existing ASIA members we will tack another year onto your existing membership.
•     Through a newly struck deal between ASIA and Acoustic Guitar Magazine everyone who buys this sponsorship package will also get a FREE SUBSCRIPTION to Acoustic Guitar Magazine (or another year tacked on to your existing subscription.)
•     A FREE OLF t-shirt
•     And over $500 worth of coupons and savings opportunities from our generous sponsors. These include items such as FREE shipping, FREE product, EXTRA discounts and a variety of other savings opportunities.

In total, this package has a street value of nearly $600, but we are able to offer it to you for only $95.00 – and a healthy percentage of this goes to making the OLF community a better place.

I tried to build a package full of items that we all buy anyway.

Certainly all of us are either ASIA members, or have considered joining. And, we all have recognized that ASIA has recently been pulling out all the stops to revitalize their own organization. I believe that we should enthusiastically support this effort. ASIA's new website is up and its fantastic!

Acoustic Guitar magazine is a subscription that is important to all of us, and some of our own members have been featured within the pages of this publication,

The savings coupons are just a nice way to save even more money with the vendors we frequent all the time anyway….

And the t-shirts are something we have talked about doing for such a long time that now just seemed like the right time to make this happen.

There is absolutely NO obligation to participate in this, and I realize $95.00 might be a lot of money. But I think that this is a very good value, and I hope you will consider making this investment.

If your interested, Please follow the TEXT link at the top of the main page.
OR CLICK HERE

With ASIA being 55.00 and AG 29.00 per year, thats 84.00 right there - This is just a great offer.

As always… your humble host

I now understand it's a paid membership sponsor, not a paid business sponsor. Still, a great way to support the OLF.

Yes please! Because even for a couple of extra bucks shipping and such (we're used to that, y'know), it's certainly a very, very tempting offer.

Thanks Lance

Let us know I am sure the rest of the small european contingent will be interested.

As Mattia said if we have to pay a few bucks for the additional postage then fair enough
