This shot was taking right next to the fallen tree that I showed in the first post. I just turned around toward where I parked the car This was my first time seeing the redwoods up close. Awesome creatures! Well worth the ride from Healdsburg.

I've made three different trips through that area over the years and with the exception, maybe, of the Monterey penn., it is the most beautiful part of Californis. Magnificient doesn't even describe the grandeur of that place.

When you see these trees it makes you realize how small we are in God`s plan. It`s hard to understand how some one could cut one! These trees have been alive for centuries . It is truly awe inspiring! You have not really lived until you walk around the General Grant!
It`s a visit to mother natures finest work!

I don't know... I sort of think a creature that can perceive the universe, travel off the planet, and unlock the mysteries of the physical universe is pretty huge.

But, I agree, the trees are great in their own way.

Good thing, John. I was worried you were taking "getting back to nature" into a direction that would require intervention by our moderator!
