Here's one that's in the Z-poxy filler stage. I hope to post when it's finished. Also in the shop, is an EIRW dred that my apprentice is doing. Hopefully he'll post his. He's taken a few pix at 5.3 Megpix. It's busier in the shop than usual for the summer... Grand Concert size Grenadillo B & S from LMI, Zootman Coco bindings, end graft, heel cap, and probably headstock cap. Engelman top & bracing. w/b/w binding purflings, b/w/b top puflings, herringbone rosette, Mahogany neck, probably ebony fingerboard. Probably simple inlays. I'll see if Bruce is donating the K & K pickups. Ya out there Bruce? :) When finished with KTM-9, I'll post a few pix of the whole building process. ![]() ![]() |

Terry, Looks great! And, I know that Granadillo taps like good Rosewoods - very bright with tons of sustain. Another great yet underutilized wood! Dennis |

It seems underutilized in the US...It was reasonably priced, so I bought 2 sister sets. Thinking bout doing a twin, except different top & maybe trim, just to experiment. Otherwise maybe an SJ. I bought some nice wood at ASIA, I think I'll build a bunch with the cheaper stuff and then break out the good stuff. (If I can be that self-controlled..) I am getting anxious to build the next bunch of guitars! Armadillo. HA HA! It took me weeks to remember the name of this wood, and now I'll have to relearn it. |

Terry, Nice work. Is the Grenadillo tough to bend? |

I sanded to .080 (I think) and bent in the bender and ran it through 2 or 3 cycles. I thought it went okay |

Well, Bob the Zootman has promised to sell me a set of his Armadillo wood one of these days, if he decides to part with it at all. I'll have to get me a set! Of course he may have sold it all already.... |
