Hi Everyone, I've been lurking here for a while and find this forum a great place for info and interesting conversations. Thanks! I'm in the process of building my second classical guitar and I was thinking it would look cool if I made my bridge out of different types of wood laminated together. I'm not sure what effect this might have on the sound though. Anyone have experience doing this? Or even if you don't I'd like to hear what you think of the idea. Graham |

Yea but Bob forgot to tell you he's tone deaf. Just kidding!. I made one out of pao ferro and brazilian. Can't comment on the sound for obvious reasons ( I'm tone deaf). Just kidding! I was able to compare it to a close duplicate of just pao ferro. It did seem ping a little brighter compared to pao ferro alone. But that may have been my pre-conceived expectations tricking me. Who cares realy? It sure does look pretty. BOB that bocote/ebony is a beaut...got anymore bocote? |
