Is the raw color more redish or greenish? the wetted photos show a beautiful honey golden color on the lighter grain. This looks exseptionally golden for Koa. Like Don, I would have guessed Black Acacia. |

Pictures were taken with the wood DRY not wetted, it has been planed. Lighting/flash did throw the color off. Colors are honey golden with darker redish brown streaks. |

Sure is pertty[/QUOTE] I do agree that the pics do sort of give it the Acacia look, If I had taken the pics in the daytime under sunlight it would probably clear things up for ya....greens, reds, browns, golds purple.....in person it can almost put you in a trance. Acacia is nice but there is nothing like big Island Koa ![]() |
