Well, I made it to 500 which offically makes me a looser with too much time on my hands.
Anyway, I saw in the paper that Bob Denver (aka Gilligan) passed away yesterday. Though most of you are WAY TOO OLD to appreciate his work, I was pretty much raised on Gilligan's Island and the Brady Bunch. Kind of sad...

Yea...Gilligan's Island...that was some funny stuff!
Nothing we can do for him now. I pray he made the right choice and is standing with our Lord.

It is sad, isn't it? One of his quotes comes up regularly around here: "Work?!!"Steve Kinnaird38602.611412037

Yes, I do. And Lum and Abner and Seargent Preston of the Yukon. Did anyone, besides me, ever watch "Winky Dink" on Saturday mornings? I had the play set that let you draw on the TV screen.

What shocked me the most is that he was 70 when he died. I can't imagine a 70 year old Gilligan, it seems too soon for that.

Yep, I spent so much of my youth in a turned down sailor's hat that my mom was afraid I would start loosing my hair at   9.

Such a generation gap ;) Mash and Gilligans Island were reruns in my day. GI Joe, HeMan, Transformers, Thundercats and later The Simpsons had a firm grasp on me as a kid (well they still do I guess.. Thundercats recently came out on DVD if anyones interested ).

Dusty's Trail was the TV series in 1976...It ran for just one season (26 episodes) and later a set of three of the episodes was released as a movie entitled "The Wackiest Wagon Train in the West".

I liked Maynard...
