I sold my first "for sale" guitar today. I am very excited and can't wait to sell another one when completed. It felt good to hear compliments and feedback (complaints)from customer. Does this mean I am a luthier yet?? Now I have to try harder to finish the next one closer to perfection. Hopefully I will improve on finishing and stop the stupid little mistakes from inexperience. Heavy sigh. How are other beginners doing in regards to sales?

Way to go Ron! I remember my first sale and the excitement that was there. Keep the flame alive and build more.

Way to go Ron!

Well I have sold a few, but mainly to close friends and relatives. That counts for something I guess.

Congratulations, Ron!

Was this a commission, or did you sell one you had already completed?

It was a commission. My customer saw my guitar and wanted one like it. And I supplied that desire. Another fellow played it and wants the next one. I hope this will continue?! I am also making one for my son. So my desire to build gets to continue. Pretty soon I will start building with my "zoot wood", can't wait! Carpathian top and all kinds of neat stuff. How are you doing Walter? Good to hear you have finished your first. Keep it up,friend.

Ron, I'm in the same boat as you. A friend saw and heard my first and wanted one the same. I gave him every reason for me not to build one for him, but he insisted and even said he was going to pay me and pay me well, It helped me buy some material and tools for three other builds, now I am on # 4 as a commission and a trade for a professional web site. I am happy with this trade, hope it gets me some more interest.

Keep it going Ron, we'll all get there together.
