Is there any way to save these videos to my computer. I want to have them on my computer for future use. Is this possible? And is it legal? |

Sounds to me they are providing a streaming link and not a data download. |

Here is how you do it. 1) choose which version you want. High bandwidth or low. 2) when it comes up RIGHT click on it and select properties. 3) At the bottom of that box will be a URL. Overhighlight it and hit CNTL+C (Copy) 4) Open a browser window and paste (CNTL+V) that URL in the new browser 5) That will probably start your Windows Media Player 6) Once it begins to play in WMP simply do a FILE .. SAVE AS... and you are good to go. I have them all saved... I can get you a copy if you need them, but they are huge files... so they would have to go out via USPS. |

Or another method, your browser saves it to its cache, so after playing, navigate to the browsers cache folder, find the file and cut and paste elsewhere on your computer. That is how I saved them. |

Scott, for those of us computer challanged would you explain how to "navigate to the browsers cache folder"? Brock, I tried your method and the sound was there but the image was all diagonal lines once it started in WMP so I never tried to save it. Any suggestions? |

Any suggestions?[/QUOTE] Find you internet cache directory (often in one of the 'Documents and Settings' sub-folders, although simply going through the options tab in your browser should reveal where it's hiding; worst case, search your computer for the word 'cache'). Then look for large .wmv files. |

Hey Tom.... Roy's and Mattia's suggestion to find it in your cache is good. My guess is though by your description of the problem that you have not updated your player in a while. See what version you are on and perhaps upgrade. If that fails, PM me and I will help you get them. |

Assuming your using windows: Once the movie completely downloads, it will probably be in a folder called Temporary Internet Files Easiest is to do a search for .wmv files through Start button-> search Long explanation, but good to know: If using Internet Explorer on the Tools menu -> Internet options ->General tab ->middle section is called Temporary Internet Files ->Click on Setting button ->New window pops up, click View Files button. This may take a few minutes for the cache folder to pop up depending on the size of you cache. Look for .wmv files You can sort the contents of that by size, name or date by using View menu, details |

In todays version of Factory Fridays they glue in their kerfing. If you watch it, you will notice the clamps they use. Taylor designed their own to fit the triangular shape of the kerfing better. You get even clamping pressure. THEY ARE AWESOME. I live in San Diego not far from Taylor and when I visited their factory I saw these simple clamps. I called customer service and ordered a set. They weren't cheep, but they will sell a set. (enough to do top and back simultaneously) They are in two widths. The smaller ones are great around tight corners. Andy |

Brock. I am almost embarassed to admit how much I paid for the set, compared to clothes pins, but they are great. Bill Collings uses them as well as several other luthiers. I paid $175 for the set. It included plenty to do the back and top sides simultaneously. It came with both sizes. The majority of them are the thicker ones. When I took the tour of the factory, the tour guide mentioned that they designed the clamps and they were so much better, that other builders that saw them, wanted them. I found it interesting that they did the kerfing out of the mould. I always leave it in the mold when I do the kerfing and figured it wouldn't hold its shape well if out. They sure make it look easy and the clamps are great. Can't afford them but if I could... |
