Sorry for the late notice, but the gathering this weekend has been rescheduled for Sat. Nov 5th. We are in the process of adding on to the garage for more shop space. Sat. the contractor removed a skylight from the shop and didn't cover it properly. While my wife and I were out we had a tropical down pour and came home to find 3 inches of water in the shop. Directly under the skylight was my 18" Jet bandsaw, a Rubbermaid tub with my Turbinaire HVLP system (I keep it in a tub because I do finishing workshops at the local Woodcraft) and my 24" disc sander. The HVLP I found doesn't float in a tub full of water, and MDF can swell to over three inches thick if you soak it for a few hour. I haven't had the guts to turn on the saw yet . The rest of the shop is now in the dining room, as well as everything that was. in the room that was going to join the new garage. Since there is no place to sit or visit, we have no choice but to postpone things until Nov. Dave |

Sorry to hear about the Damage. Maybe your home ownrs policy will cover the damage? Why didn't the contractor have that hole well covered. Maybe HIS policy will cover it?! We live in Florida...DAH...how could we ever expect a down pour? Anyway, Thanks for the notice. I will try to be there. |
