First toilet seat,that is.
Really not much different than building guitars!
I am installing it tomorrow.

On the commode again. I just can't wait to get on the commode again.

Bet she really resonates!!!

Kidding aside, that's quite nice work! The first one I've seen that actually lives up to the term "throne!"

Stunning, Brad. Anyone would be proud to own that! That oak should be strong enough for the task. (at least, it looks like oak to me) Actually, it has sort of a lyre look about it.

Now that is some stunning work. One question though. Where did you get a guitar pick template big enough to cut out the seat hole?

Great job!

Brad,

Frankly I'm bewildered...

1.) Why didn't you use crotch wood?

2.) Why is there no butt joint?

You guys are funny-I'm ROFL!!!
It Is most definately oak-I am a traditionalist after all.
The really funny thihig is that the guy I made it for is having his 60th birthday party (100 people going) on Saturday and he invited me.
I guess this seat will get "broken in" pretty quickly.

Brad,
Has anyone "broken" her in or had a "test" drive?

Let's hope that the bottom doesn't drop out of the market!

I can just imagine how you test-fitted it in the shop. Not a pretty sight.

I don't WANT to imagine him test fitting it...

I'm sure he's all flushed just thinking about this stuff...

It's great to see something different on this forum.
I for one, can appreciate an instrument with a bit more Bottom end.
I could understand how one could get a lot of use out of such an instrument.
Thanks for sharing!
