For those of you that use plastic purfling, specifically several layers (BWB etc)
Do you bind them all together with acetone first, or just try to glue them to
the guitar separately.

Acetone only works with the celuloid binding. The boltaron plastic needs duco or similar based glues. I do them on the guitar at the same time. Once you get it started they actually go on pretty easy
