Hi Everyone, Customer brought in this Taylor for BFTS. Checked Taylor's site they say this model is EIR. Customer swears it is Brazilian. What do you think? THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT ![]() |

I say IRW. The color is not right for BRW. Grain looks like IRW and Taylor would not say IRW if it was BRW. |

It could be a couple of things but to me it sure doesn't look like any EIR I've seen. |

Geez.... if it were Indian Rosewood I'd sure hope Taylor could come up with a more consistent piece! |

I can't tell from the back, but the side looks like my BR Yairi, except mine is redder in color. Ron |

Sorry about the terrible pics...I just can't get my photography together. Anyway, Customer says BRW. He thinks it's sort of a "one off". The sides don't realy match the back too well and this is one of Taylor's TOL models! In person it is lighter than the pics. MichaelP, I am with you...the color doesn't seem right. Don W, Tried that didn't have that BRW smell. very confusing... |

Ok Steve my friend, we get the veiled hint...you sold it to them. I think it looks like BRW too...in fact, it does look a lot like some of the stuff you've been selling. ![]() |
Taylor's website confirms that the 910 CE Ltd is indeed Brazilian.
Don, This is what I found on the site... "A classic pairing of premium Indian rosewood and Engelmann spruce, yielding incredibly warm and complex overtones". I don't doubt you...I guess I need to get my eyes checked or my brain ![]() |

Dave, you have to go looking for the Limited Editions to find it. The basic 910 CE is EIRW, but they did a few that were designated Limited Editions, which had Brazilian Rosewood. Go here to see the data. |
