Okay, so I'm flipping through the contents of the CD that came with my new Fingerstyle Guitar magazine and there are photos of the Healdsburg Guitar Festival. Up pops John playing a guitar! You are in Fingerstyle Guitar! How special we are to be in your presence! I hope that pic will give you some new leads. Way to go. Here is the pic:

Awh Shucks

The cool lookin' and soundin' guitar I'm playing (Marta) was made by Ken Franklin, recently joined OLFer from Ukiah California. Check out his new website. Ken Franklin Guitars

Thanks for pointing out the picture Terry. It was on the cd you say?

On the CD their are some video clips taken from the healdsburg festival. John is also on there playing the song he wrote cool blues. It doesn't show his face and it's only a few seconds but I'm pretty certain that it's his guitar he was playing, and I know that it's his tune.

You're welcome John! I didn't even know about the video on there, but after watching it, I do agree that it was John playing a little tune. This is a great issue dedicated to Earl Klugh. The first track on the CD is from Earl Klugh and is from the Wizard of Oz..."Ding Dong the Witch is Dead". All tab is either in the magazine or in pdf files on the disk. The magazine is highly recommended.

John was nice enough to play my guitar for the camera. I make better sawdust than music. He is indeed playing one of his robust redwood-toppped guitars in a far too short video clip. Too bad you can't see him in that one.

It's very simple Anthony, you just buy a guitar. Or i'm offering the Hank Mauel deal where you buy a T-shirt and get a free guitar either way, It's a two for the price of one deal since the price is the same for both.

Ken's Guitar in this picture is a very nice sounding Eucalyptus model. I remember it has a really full tone and the high end is shimering and fat. A very nice guitar.

I went to the local book store today after work to pick up a copy and they didn't have it. Guess I'll just have to wait.
