Rickshaw, that is!

I know this is slightly off topic but I just had to share. I have had a very busy summer and the pinnicle was when the local ballet company came to me a month ago and asked me to build a rickshaw for their Christmas performance of the Nutcracker.

I apologize for showing a pic before it was painted but I accidentally deleted the painted pics from my camera. But not to dispair, I have been promised that I can take promotional pics at their dress rehearsal.

Incidentally, if it looks a little small, one of the challenges was having to build it for 6-year olds.

Regards, to all. I am getting the shop back into luthier mode this holiday weekend and all is well with the world.

That's really neat, Steve. Did you make the wheels, too?

Pretty cool. It seems to me that once you have built a few guitars making some of these other things is not to hard.

Good work.

Wheels? No, I found them at Wheels-R-us. Well almost. Turns out that there is a company in the Amish country in PA that makes all different sizes, and types. You can buy purely ornamental wheels, wheel blanks (usable but no bearings in the hub) and fully street usable with pnuematic tires (no kidding!)

I bought the middle kind.

Glad you like it, Steve

Wow, that's great, the kids will love it! It's always fun to take on new projects, and this one certainly was different.
Are you going to the performance?

That is just too cool Steve. With this additon maybe we can get Lance to change this forum to the OLRF (Official Luthiers and Rickshaw Forum).
