I've been wanting, for some time, to get some necks CNC'd. I hit up John
Watkins and Neslon but they already have too much on thier plates.

Soooo...

Does anyone here either offer or know of a good CNC service that will
program and mill necks? I know of a few guys and I've got quotes from
them ranging from $2000-$1200 for programming, and most have a
minimum of 12 necks at a time to order ranging from $65-$75 per neck
(one includes the mahogany for the neck in that price as well).

I'm willing to fork out the dough for the work, but did not know if
someone here would be willing and able. I'd much rather see my money
go to a fellow OLF'er if possible. If not a better deal is always cool!

Plus the contact info for milling services would be a good thing for guys
to know who don't have the time to build their own machine (I am going
to be taking some CAD and CAM classes soon though)

John, have you checked with Tracy L. Also, I've been buying CNC machined Martin style necks of ebay (cherry, walnut, and mahogany). You might check with them and see what they can provide. I'll post the ebay link so you can get the address as I won't post it here without their prior consent. Machined necks Another possibility would be these folks, Layout templates. I've been happy with both of these suppliers prouducts.

I've actually asked these guys about custom necks (I don't want a Martin
neck I want a Mayes design neck) but one said that he wouldn't do it, and
the other said he didn't think he could, and if he could he would charge
WAY too much. Thanks for the reply though!
