Michael, You have to check out Tracy's bearing cutter package, He offers considerably more bearings to cut more binding and perfling widths than either LMI or Stew-Mac and at a better price I think, and he is an OLF sponser to boot. Here you go |

I'll throw this out just for info...I decided on the SM set when they and LMI were the only ones out there...I've been happy with it, but when the time comes, I'll buy Tracy's! |

FYI - the Stew Mac bearing/bit set is completely different. The bearings have a .25" ID. The ID of the LMI bearings is .1875". Also, you should probably know that the Stew Mac bit is not 1" in diameter. I think it is about .925" in diameter so the bearing bit combinations would be totally different even if the bearings were interchangeable. |

I'm very happy with the set I bought from Tracy. And he includes more bearings at a lower price than the LMI complete set does. |

Guys, thanks for all the great reviews of my bit/bearing set, but the bad news is that I don't have them now, and may not ever get them again. My contact is having problems with the china distributor, so we are now looking for another place to make them. Check my website often for when they will be available. Thanks! Tracy |

I use the stew mac set 1298. I found them to be better than the lmi. The larger diameter of the cutter on the Stew Mac set gives less tear out as the angle of attack is shallower. john hall |

I may be wrong, but I found the Stew Mac cutter to be smaller in diameter than the LMI cutter. The StewMac cutter is .925" and the LMI is 1". |

The one I got was 1.125 . It may depend on the set? I don't know. John hall |

My Stew Mac bit measures 0.928" with a 0.25" bearing arbor. |
