I was cleaning out the garage today and I ran across a bunch of cases. (yeah I know most of you find clothes and crap, but I find almost 20 cases :) ) They were custom made for me by TKL for my grand Parlor size, but I'm sure they will fit other sizes as well. (they fit my OM's, but check your diemensions)

Here are the measurements I took from the cases (this is NOT crushing the padding at all so you'd probably have another .125-.250 or so):

Upper Bout: 11.250"
Lower Bout: 14.750"
Waist: 10"
Depth: 4.5" (om depth)
Overall internal size: 41.5"
Headstock are (tuners) width: 5.5"

They are black with gold latches, and burgundy interior, arched top (professional series specs).

Also if you want I can include a tracing of my Grand Parlor Mold and you can build this size to fit the case.

Price is $70 (retail is like over $200) plus shipping.

I'll post pics of the cases shortly. I have 7 of them.John Mayes38702.7295486111

Hey John,

How much "squish factor" is in these cases...I need 1/4" on the upper and lower bouts to make one I just finished fit...

John, I might be interested in a couple. I've got to do some checking of sizes first.

here are two pics. The first one here is the normal measurement at the lower bout. No squishy. The second is from the outside of the padding at the lower bout. Seems like there is roughly 1 inch of padding all around. Of course you would not want to squish it too much as then that takes the effectiveness out of the padding...

John, this sounds like it could fit a Taylor Grand Concert, Yes? I'm waiting to hear from Todd S on a group buy from Access cases. If yours accepts a GC, that'd be a selling point...

John,
My lower bout is 15.25. Is there enough squish that this would mot make it too tight? If not, I'll take 2.
How should I pay?

I checked Taylor's website and it seems they would, but it does not give a upper bout dimension. If there would be a Snag it would be there. The lower bout seems it will onyl crush the padding .125 on each side which is cool, but what is the upper bout measurement?

I honestly thank that would be pushing it a little. Best not to crush the padding that much I think....I do have a few extra of my SJ cases though... 15.25 lower bout. Specs on my website.

Actually all the Grand Parlor cases are gone. Or at least the last one is on hold to see if the dimensions work.

I have lots of SJ cases. Most of which I'll be using, but if you need one I can take care of ya. Same kind of case that the parlor is but in my SJ dimensions.

Thanks John, but I am not in a big enough hurry to get into you usable stash. I had planned to get a Ceder Creek for this one anyway. Just tough if if this was one you were needing to liquidate I might pick it up.

Thanks

good! I went out and counted after I posted that and I counted 17 SJ cases, but they are all spoken for. Cedar creek makes some nice cases!
