There's a router book called Router Magic. The same guy wrote a bandsaw book that I THINK is called Bandsaw Magic but it might also me called the Bandsaw Book. Good stuff in there.

Mark Duginske's Band Saw Handbook is a really excellent reference and worth the purchase price.

The Carter blade guide system, priced at around $69 is a simple and effective way of adding the ability to make tight radius curves (about 1/2" circles) with a 1/8" blade without breaking the blade. Carter also has a DVD that shows you how to tune up your bandsaw and maintain it. Contact Woodline.com if you would like to order these items. Good luck!

I second Tracy's recommendation on the Carter guides. I picked up a "Carter style" set of guides for my 14 in. Jet, and these along with a new Timberwolf blade, made it into a totally different machine.

As a side question, anyone know of a reliable mail-order sharpening service for bandsaw blades? We don't have anyone local here.

Also Lonnie Birds book. There was an article in Fine woodworking I believe last year that was an alternative to Duginske's method of tune up that works well for me and elimintes most blade drift. FIVE TIPS FOR BETTER BANDSAWING
by Michael Fortune November 2005

For accessories also a quick tension release if it isn't already equipeda nd a good fence. Scott Thompson38705.7459490741
