Awesome site Jim! I especially like the montage photo on the home page...the only "neato" type improvement I can think of is clicking on the photos to enlarge them...excellent work though and the guitars are beautiful!

Hi Jim,

On the "construction" page, nice pics, though a little on the dark side. A little text on how you construct might give you an edge.

Explain:
*Features you offer-standard & options
*benefits of your design
*Why you prefer certain methods of construction
*What makes your guitars a better choice

You're competing against a lot of builders. Sometimes just one option, feature, benefit, or aesthetic quality is all you'll need to get a nose ahead.

Great start, keep it lively & updated, and people will come back. Keep it informative and convincing, and they're more likely to refer to others, or to purchase.

Maybe add a "What's for sale" page with stuff that isn't commissioned. or a "What under construction" page too.

These things will come in time whenever you, or your webmaster have time. They'll help keep it fresh and attractive.

Great guitars, Jim. Great site!

Looking forward to seeing what happens!

Looks great so far, tidy and elegant!

I assume you will add more pictures (especially in the "construction" section) and I would also welcome a function where you could enlarge them. Beautiful guitars by the way!

What a nice site. Tasteful & classy.
My only comments would be that the colour isn't consistant on one of the "construction" photos & the home page montage obscures a line of text. I like the "dark" look.
I agree that it would be nice to be able to enlarge the pics.
Beautiful guitars! Thanks for showing us.

Thanks guys, I'll have to figure out how to make the pictures so when you click them they enlarge. Is this just a link to a larger image, anyone know?
Daniel, what browser do you use and does anyone else notice a color differance on the pages?
Thanks for the encouragement and taking the time to report your thoughts. I very much appreciate it.

Nice site Jim. I like the simple yet elegant approach you took to creating your site. As mentioned by others I too would like to see enlargeable pictures. Also on your welcome page you mention that you make both a grand concert and a dreadnought sized steel string. However on your steel string page there is no mention of the dreadnought and no pictures.

Also on that same page you mention that your grand concert is "an original design w/ beautiful proportions" but then don't show a full frontal shot of the body. I would add this in so people can get a clear idea of the subtleties of the shape. Other photos to think about adding are of the back, closeups of the bridge, the rosette and the heal and a shot of the back of the neck. These would give a more complete idea of what your work looks like.

Lastly, on your pricing page under options you misspelled Engelmann.

Hope this helps.

Roy

Yeah, ditto what everyone said.
I think what they are calling for is what I would call a gallery page. I'd like to see a page of more guitars and some of your artistry.

Very nice start.
