Quick question. After all is said and done, my headstock come out at 9/16". Is this too thin? Should I plan an overlay on the back? (This could get complicated with my volute. Might have to come off?) I'm using Grover 18:1 Sta-Tites.

9 16ths is what i use, but on an electric with a rock maple neck, you could go as low as 1/2.
