Does anyone know of a good source to get a Drill Press Rosette Cutter?

I have seen the ones at LMI but was wondering if there was a cheaper source anywhere else....

Thanks

8 inch type is $27 at Ace Hardware. You would have to grind the tip of the cutter to the size you need. You did say cheap?

I use the stewmac dremmel tool, but use the above for cutting out the soundhole. I purchased others for the purpose you mention, but never got around to it. Just always seem to grab the dremmel tool from stewmac.

You'd need a dremmel, a dremmel base, and a circle cutting attachment from Macdonalds.

Martin Guitar sells one for $18.95, and Blues Creek Guitars has one for about $15.

The LMI one is expensive, but worth every penny...I just didn't feed my kids for a couple weeks and bought that one...(J-O-A-K...please DO NOT send child social services to my house! )...like Bruce I use the fly cutter to cut the soundhole, but with the setscrew and cutter arm epoxied permantly in place, and with a plywood table/bushing arrangement to keep the wobble down to a minimum.
