Slightly off topic, but I thought I'd share/mention this to anyone who is
interested.

My car's transmission went out yesterday (well I could still use 3, and 4 th
gear...) so I gotta get a new tranny in it, and needless to say they ain't
cheap! To make it worse I just spent a few thousand, on some guitar
stuff, tools, wood, cnc work ect, so I'm flat broke. So I thought I would
sell the amp I just made for myself. I'm selling it for what it cost me to
make it, which should be just enough to replace the tranny. I was
thinking about selling it anyway it is rather loud for my shop, since I ahve
to offices on both sides of me, and I was gonna build myself a 5F1 amp,
but that'll have to wait a while so if your interested in the amp read on.

Here are the details:

It is a 18 watt marshall style lite (no tremolo, just one tone knob, and one
volume knob...simple pure tone!).

It has two 12 inch weber speakers. One is a Silver bell ceramic and one is
a Blue Dog ceramic, both 30 watters (4 ohm each). Transformers are
vintage style GDS (very nice upgrade..some serious iron!). Mallory 150
series caps. It is powered by 2 el84's (groove Tube EL84S) 2 12ax7's (NOS
GE) in the pre stage, and the rectifier is a EZ81 tube (NOS Amperex). Has
both jacks for 4 or 8 ohm (currently wired for 8 ohm [two 4 ohm
speakers] ). Full combo cab with red tolex, and a large checkerboard grill
clothe, and gold piping (custom made cab for me be Reason Amps).

Very full well rounded, punchy tone. Exactly what you'd expect out of an
18 watter. Price is $850 (what it cost me to build). Here are a few pics:

yeah luckily this one is from a 1986 Chrysler LeBaron (POC). New Tranny
installed is gonna be like $750.

Yep vintage is exactly what I was going for!

I would really call an 86 LaBaron "vintage"

haha.. yeah it's pretty old, but it only has 90K on it so I'm hoping it will go
for a while longer. I don't want to have to get back under a car payment,
after I've worked the past 5 years trying to (and succeeded) get debt free.
