Brock, Someone suggested deleting cookies to make things right. Nothing changed, still no logos like I got one day last week, you know the four that change each time you log on? My computer displayed it three times in the past two months, bang bang bang, and then stopped doing it.

While I was at it, I DeFragged the hard drive, dumped the cache's and deleted all cookies and temporary internet files. First time in a couple years, took forever. Still no luck.

Looks like you have serious problems too Bruce, last week end, we had to buy the newest version of Xp, i could not even receive my e-mails, do you think it could be a worm or some sort of spam doing it?

Did you also delete your cached files?

Try that.

I think mine is a Trojan Horse Virus, because it occasionally smells funky when I open the cabinet door.

Bruce. Does your anti-virus program have a setting to block pictures from the web?

No I love pictures, so I'm not blocking them.

On the same screen that you deleted your cookies there is a button that says "delete files". Click that one too.

I think your problem is unrelated to what I, and a few other people have had. But it doesn't hurt to try this.

Let me know how it works out for you.

Great suggestion Doug! I am a sponsor over at APM and at home my computer was NOT seeing there rotation banners that run down the right hand side of the screen, my Norton Internet Security was set to block banners.

Hmmm....

Bruce this may or maynot be related:

The logos appear when in the main discussion page, but are not there when in a topic page. It has always been that way I believe.

Are you saying you do not have the logos when you are at the main discussion page? or at the a topic page?MichaelP38750.4364351852

Yup. I guess whatever reason my computer refuses to show them, was busy the day it did. Mystery of life, I suppose.

Not sure if this will help, but worth a look?

SYMPTOMS
When you open a Web page, one or more pictures (graphics or images) may not be displayed. Instead, a red X, or a placeholder, may appear in place of the images.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if one of the following conditions is true: • The Web page includes an image type that is not supported by Internet Explorer.
• The Show Pictures check box is not selected on the Advanced tab of the Internet Options dialog box, or the Toggle Images.exe Web accessory was used to disable images in Internet Explorer.
• The image is displayed based on a script, ActiveX control, cookie, Java applet, or HTTP referral information, and your computer or network is configured to block one or more of these features. For example, you may have Internet Explorer or Symantec Corporation's Norton Internet Security (NIS) or Norton Personal Firewall (NPF) 2002 configured to block one or more of these features.
• Internet Explorer cannot determine the character set (also called code page or encoding) that is used by the Web page, or a file or registry key required to display the Web page with the appropriate character set may be missing or damaged. By default, Internet Explorer uses the character set that is specified in the HTTP content type that is returned by the server, the character set specified by the meta element in the Web page document, or your Encoding preference if no HTTP content type is returned by the server and no meta element is specified in the Web page document.

Lance, evidently, this is not widespread. But if you never saw it, you wouldn't know you were missing it either. Right. I saw it, just briefly, and liked it.

Now I'm satisfied to just see the text. By the way, I've seen red X'es before but not up there. Life goes on.
