Should I get the 4" X 1.125" or the 7.5 X 2.25? Do I need both? What grit sleeves do you recommend? They have 60,120,150,180,220,and 320.

Steve--the little guy (4" x 1.125") would be my recommendation as it is more controllable and gets into tight places such as the cutaway. Then when you find out how nice it works you'll have to have the big guy also.
I would guess 60, 150 and 220 might be a good grit combo.
As mentioned previously in similar posts, a variable speed reversible drill really makes the tool. You don't need a lot of rpm.

Thanks Nelson,
I should have mentioned that I have a nice bench top belt sander and I am looking to use this for sanding the cutaway. Will my Cordless Makita work well with this or will I need to use my A/C drill?
Is this the good size for necks too?

I've got the larger one and love it for necks and waists. Cordless VS drills work nicely.

i would not recommend trying to do your cutaway on the belt sander. it is far too agressive and very small alignment errors will result in quite a bit of damage.
