Well, I just dove in a bought a few more logs. They were just too nice to pass up! Over 30 grains to the inch and very evenly spaced, I won't know for sure until I open them up but they are the nicest I have seen so far! Richard (arvey), I may even have some mastergrade for you! So here are the new ones, with Leith sitting on top!:

I still have not got to process but a few sets from these logs yet:

The few sets that I did process went to high end classical guitar builders. They really liked the 18-20 grains per inch, stiff even spacing of these sets and placed orders that I have to get to. I am in the middle of a couple of reno's to my re-saw but expect to have them complete in the next little bit then I will be processing like CRAZY.

This brings us to the SALE! I want to process a lot of tops in the next few months so I can get well ahead of orders, like a year or two ahead would make me happy, so I need space. I have about 100 'AA'/low 'AAA' sets that I would move out. So I will sell them in sets of 10 for $150 USD. These sets are stiff, well quartered, very good tap tone but have curve in the grain and/or more colour than I would like to see in my 'AAA' sets. These are the same grade of sets that Mark Swanson used on the guitar he built for his buddy and posted in a thread a couple of weeks ago. So that means I have 9 or 10 lots available. The new sets will be ready to go in about six weeks or so, if I get the reno's completed on my saw soon! Also, I will be out of town all of next week from Mar 11 to Mar 17 so I can't ship during that period.

Thanks

Shane

Shane,

What about shipping to USA, and is there any import/export duty or extra charges?

Lutz it is! I think that the sets are all spoken for now. I have a coule that asked about shipping but I reserve those sets for their confirmation. If they decide not to take them I will post the here. Thanks for hellping make room for the new sets that will be available soon. It just hit me that I actually will have 3 or 4 more sets that have just dried from one of the new trees. These sets are from near the butt so have a slight curve to their grain. They will be the same, 10 for $150 USD, they are a good 18 to 20 grains per inch right across the top. Some high end classical builders call sets from this tree master grade. They like the moderate grain count.

I think that all of the sets are now spoken for. I will though take "rain checks". For anybody who didn't get in on this deal I will honour this price for this grade when I start processing again in a couple of weeks. Please PM me with "Rain Check" in the subject line and I will start a list and contact you in 6 to 8 weeks when the new sets are cut and dried. This offer will extend for one week.

Thanks to all who ordered and sorry to those who have to wait or missed it.

Shane
