Hi all,

Just interested to hear what weight dead blow hammer is preferred for fret work?

Cheers

7-10 lb.

Actually I don't use a deadblow for fretwork. I prefer a small 1" diameter steel hammer with plastic or hard rubber faces.

7 to 10lb? I was kind of hoping to leave the neck in one piece Al I'm sure you meant 7 to 10 oz.

Thanks for the reply.

Cheers Kim

Here's the one I use. It works incredibly well for me. I'm not sure of its weight, but it's the 1 1/4" size (that's the face diam.). I got it from hammersource.com. Can't recommend it more highly. I use the hard nylon (white) face.

9oz deadblow, and let the hammer do the work rather than your muscle.

Kim I just read about a supercyclone making landfall in Qeensland. I hope that you and your family are safe.

Thanks for the concern Al

Us sandgropers here in the west are all do'in fine. That cockeyed bob is on the other side of the island about 3000 miles away. Could'nt even fly a kite here today.

I am a bit concerned however for my inlaws, they are not too far south of the first one "Larry" that crossed the coast this morning and flattened a town named Inisfail and there is now another one called "Wati" that has formed in the same area from where Harry launched from.

Fingers crossed folks for all the people along the upper east coast of AU.

Cheers

Kim
